This enchanting wedding venue in Kent lives up to its fairytale reputation as a beautifully preserved 14th-century fortified manor house (a Scheduled Ancient Monument with Grade I listed status), nestled in 14 acres of magnificent Kent countryside. Steeped in royal history — once linked to Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, and even earlier kings — it offers romantic ruins, ancient towers, a moat, manicured lawns, and breathtaking historic charm. It's wonderfully regal yet intimate, with exclusive use for your day, perfect for couples dreaming of a medieval-inspired celebration. 4. Westerham Golf Club
This award-winning wedding venue in Kent (on the Kent/Surrey border) is one of my absolute favourites — a secluded spot nestled in the beautiful North Downs countryside across 120 acres of manicured grounds, three lakes, and scenic views. The clubhouse offers an authentic barn-style feel with exposed oak beams, rustic brickwork, open fireplaces, and bifold doors to outdoor patios. Fully licensed for ceremonies, receptions, and evenings, it's ideal for modern rustic or traditional weddings. The vast grounds deliver incredible wedding photography at Westerham Golf Club — golden-hour portraits by the lakes, candid shots amid rolling hills, and dramatic countryside backdrops that make every image glow.
5. Solton Manor, Dover
This stunning wedding venue near Dover, Kent, is one of my absolute favourites — a historic Grade II-listed manor house set in nine acres of secluded gardens, woodlands, meadows, wildlife ponds, and picturesque grounds. As an exclusive-use estate, it offers incredible versatility: say 'I do' in the idyllic outdoor Godric’s Garden with its oak-framed gazebo, the atmospheric Dutch Barn (licensed for up to 200 guests with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking paddocks), the historic Old Stables, or soon-to-be-added spaces. The lovingly restored manor house blends over 1,000 years of charm with modern luxury — think inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams, a romantic four-poster honeymoon suite, and accommodation sleeping up to 24 (plus a Dovecote Cottage).
